Revered Shri. Sunil Chincholkar felicitating Prof. G.C. Asnani

Pune: At the Dharma-jagruti meet (sabha), Prof. G. C. Asnani, Retd. Officer from UNO was felicitated. Even at the age of 85 years, Prof. Asnani is very active in creating awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma. He was felicitated by Revered Shri. Chincholkar, President of Samartha Vyaaspeeth for his commendable effort in this regard in the last few decades.

He hails from the Sindh province (now in Pakistan). After graduating from Meteorology from Mumbai University, he also acquired a doctorate in the subject. He later, started teaching the subject in universities of Africa and America. He has proficiency over Muslim and Christian religious books. He has also written books on Smruti, Ramayana, Rig-Veda, etc. His works include ‘Secularism – A political slogan’, ‘Appeal to Hindu Saints’, etc. He maintains a diary of all devout Hindus he comes in contact with all across the world based in various countries and keeps in touch with them through e-mail. He is one of the advisors of Hindu Organizations.

When Ramakrishna Mission publicly declared that it is not a Hindu organization but one belonging to the minority community whose Prophet was Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Prof. Asnani went to Court and without any legal expertise fought the case before the Supreme Court. Upon this, the Supreme Court passed a verdict that the Mission is an integral part of Hindu Dharma. Thus, it is a matter of pride to felicitate an erudite and a sagacious person like Prof. Asnani.
