Exhibition: terrorism on Hindus in Kashmir & Bangladesh

Udupi: HJS in association with other Hindu organizations had organized an exhibition of photographs produced by the Foundation Against Continuing Terrorism (FACT) depicting the gory violence and the terror unleashed by the terrorists on Hindus in Kashmir and Bangladesh. The program also included CD show pertaining to the same. The exhibition was inaugurated  in Palimaru Vidhyamanya Sabhabhavana, Car Street, Udupi. And kept open from 10am – 8pm for Three days from 16.5.2007 to 18.5.2007.          

Sri.Vasudev bhat of Hindu Yuva Sene in his introductory remarks briefed about HJS activities and the purpose of this program for enlightening and awakening Hindus. The program was inaugurated by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vidhyavallabha Thirtha Shripada, Sri Kaniyuru Mutt, Udupi by lighting the lamp who in his inaugural ashirvachan congratulated HJS for organizing the unique program of this kind. He added that the acts of terrorism putting the entire mankind to shame occurring in Kashmir and Bangladesh may occur in our door steps also at any moment. He gave a call to all Hindus not to be content with periodical Hindu conventions but to exercise utmost vigil round the clock and to stand united always.

Sri.Sunil Kumar M.L.A Karkala inaugurated the photograph exhibition by unveiling the photograph "Terror Unleashed" and the VCD show by switching on the VCD player. Sri.Sunil Kumar in his highly inspiring address complimented HJS for organizing this unique exhibition and gave some details of wide spread terrorism in India. He added that the terrorism in Kashmir is not a recent phenomenon and recollected that he had visited Kashmir in his college days as a participant in anti terrorism Andolan. He branded all anti national activities also as acts of terrorism. He called for utmost alertness on our part as to what is happening around us as thirty three thousand unauthorized persons are living in Karnataka and that terrorism has already reached our door steps.

He requested HJS to organize this exhibition in villages also and volunteered that he would organize the same in good number of places in his constituency. Sri.Shivananda Prabhu Dakshina Bharath HJS Pramukh in his concluding remarks explained that HJS is continuously chalking out and implementing the programs for awakening, safeguarding and uniting Hindus. He briefed the various ways such as participating in Andolans, arranging and participating in Dharma Satsangs, exhibiting dharma phalaks, sponsoring/assisting pro Hindu activities, contributing monetarily to Hindu cause. etc by which everybody can join hands with HJS for Hindu cause.

HJS activists explained about all the photographs to H.H.Vallabha Thirtha Shripada who watched them with great concern. The exhibition was visited by H.H. Sri Sri Sri Lakshmivara Thirtha Shripada of Sri Shirooru Mutt, Udupi in the evening. The inaugural session was attended by about 125 persons and the number of visitors for the entire day was about 500. There was quite good response for the entire program. All 3 days a good number of persons from the public visited the exhibition and attended CD shows. The entire program was compeered by Sri.Vasudev Bhat of Hindu Yuva Sena.
