S M Krishna performs special yagna to overcome enemies

Kumbakonam : Maharashtra Governor and former Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna performed ‘Nikumbala yagna’, a special yagna seeking power to overcome enemies, at a temple near Kumbakonam

Twelve priests participated in the three-hour yagna at Sri Prathyangara Devi temple at Ayyavadi.

Krishna offered 48 different articles at the ‘Homa Kundam’ (fire pit) during the yagna, temple sources said.

According to Srinivasa Sastri, a temple priest, the yagna would give the desired results if the "intentions" were good.
"But, if the intentions were bad, then the impact would be little," he said.

Krishna had on Tuesday evening visited Sri Swamimalai temple near here
.
It may be recalled that Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had recently visited Navagraha temples near here praying for "more strength".
