Organised by the Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti at Mahadevwadi in Hadapsar, Pune

Hadapsar, Pune – Advocate and Chartered Accountant Sarvesh Mehendale stated that due to a lack of Hindu unity in the post-Independence period, Hindus are gradually becoming a minority in their own country. He alleged that through mechanisms such as the Waqf Act, land jihad’, and love jihad, a systematic conspiracy is being executed to Islamise India.
He was speaking at the Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha organised by the Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti at Mahadevwadi, Hadapsar (Pune) on 8 February.

On this occasion, Mr Sachin Ghule, Pune District Convenor of the Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti, presented an overview of the Samiti’s ongoing activities.
Ms Kranti Petkar of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti too addressed the attendees of the Sabha, and spoke about the necessity of addressing issues such as love jihad. She emphasised that women must receive Dharmashikshan (education about Dharma) and self-defence training in the current times and appealed to women to prepare themselves accordingly.

More than 150 devout Hindus attended the Sabha. The programme commenced with the ceremonial worship of the idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. During the event, Mr Shivansh Shukla, who works in cow protection and Dharma-related activities, was felicitated by Advocate Sarvesh Mehendale.
Advocate Mehendale further stated that through the alleged misuse of the 1995 Waqf Act, more than 800,000 acres of land across the country have been encroached upon, and that after the Railways and the Defence Department, the Waqf Board holds the largest land holdings. He claimed that more than 1,200 properties in Pune have been declared as Waqf properties and that instances of claiming land in the name of ‘Islamic religious work’ are increasing. He asserted that “only if Dharma survives, we survive,” and urged Hindus to unite by taking inspiration from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
