Mocks Daiva Chavundi on stage
Time and again, such actors have insulted our Deities and sacred beliefs. This act by Ranveer Singh is not a casual slip; it is blatant disrespect that cannot be tolerated. Hindus must file legal complaints and lawfully protest against such behaviour.
All Hindus must call for a total boycott of his upcoming films — the only language such actors seem to understand. – Editor

Panaji (Goa): While speaking at the International Film Festival here, actor Ranveer Singh used disrespectful language about Daiva Chavundi while discussing the film Kantara. He referred to the Daiva as a “female ghost”, which has triggered strong criticism across social media. Addressing Kantara’s director and actor Rishab Shetty, he said: “I watched Kantara in theatres, and Rishab, it was an outstanding performance, especially when the ‘female ghost’ gets inside your body — that shot was amazing!” He then began mockingly imitating the scene in the film where the Daiva enters the hero’s body.
Even offstage, Ranveer Singh went up to Rishab Shetty reenacting the expressions associated with Daiva Chavundi, even as Shetty repeatedly tried to stop him. In the film’s climax, the Daiva enters the hero’s body, causing his expressions to transform, and it is through this divine force that he kills the villainous princess. These very expressions were mimicked by Ranveer Singh.
Chavundi is a Daiva, not a ghost! — Public reactions
Videos of the incident circulated on social media, prompting widespread criticism of Ranveer Singh’s actions. One user wrote: “Ranveer Singh, you do not understand the difference between a Deity and a ghost. Chavundi is a Daiva, not a ghost. And you are mocking her on stage.”
