Hindu Janajagriti Samiti to organise classes on Dharma in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to combat conversion

Varanasi – Muslims are able to learn about their religion in madarasas, while convent schools teach about Christianity, but Article 28 of the Constitution restricts Hindus from receiving any education about Sanatan Dharma in government-aided educational institutes. Deprived of any knowledge about Dharma, Hindus are easy prey to unscrupulous proselytisers.

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Changur Baba of Balrampur who converted hundreds of Hindus to Islam. Under ‘Vision 2030 Nehemiah Push’, efforts are being made to plant 4,00,000 churches in every corner of the country to convert half of India’s population to Christianity. So both religions are in a race to convert Hindus out of the Dharmik fold. The main reason such efforts succeed is because Hindus have not been provided education on Hindu Dharma. One of the five founding goals of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is to provide education on Dharma. So, to combat rising incidents of religious conversion, the HJS is organising weekly in person and online Dharmashiksha Varg (classes on Dharma). Devout Hindus in numerous areas across Varanasi, Ghazipur and Lucknow have evinced interest in these free classes.

These Dharmshiksha Vargs create awareness about topics like who is a Hindu, the superiority of Hindu Dharma, various problems plaguing Hindus, the reason why we observe fasts and celebrate festivals, etc. Hindus are also trained to lawfully stop denigration of Hindu Gods and Goddesses and effectively use social media to propagate Dharma.

Impact of attending HJS Dharmashiksha Varg

Most classes are attended by youth. They are becoming more Dharmik minded. Most have now started sporting a tilak. Many have started chanting the name of their Ishtdevata. Attendees are also trying their best to create awareness about religious conversion and the love jihad trap in the society.

Remember, it is our duty to teach our younger generations about the greatness of Sanatan Dharma. If we fail our duty, we will lose them to religious conversion!
