Permission Denied for Pro-Palestine March; Victory for United Hindu Efforts!

Reject Every Attempt That Supports Terrorism! – Hindu Rashtra Samnvay Samiti

Mumbai : The ‘Gaza-Palestine Solidarity’ march scheduled for June 18 at Azad Maidan has been cancelled, as the Mumbai Police have denied permission for the event. This decision has averted a potential law and order threat in Mumbai. The success of united Hindu efforts committed to preserving social harmony is evident in this outcome, while pro-Palestine groups, supporting terrorism and attempting to create religious discord, have suffered a clear defeat. The march aimed at indirectly supporting terrorism, and such attempts must be strongly countered, stated Shri Sunil Ghanvat, National Organizer of the Hindu Rashtra Samnvay Samiti.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1), Dr. Pravin Munde, denied permission for the proposed march. Sources say the decision was taken to prevent a recurrence of the 2012 Azad Maidan riots, which erupted during a similar protest over the Myanmar issue. There was a genuine threat of similar violence repeating through this event.

To oppose the march, the Hindu Rashtra Samnvay Samiti, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Bajrang Dal, BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), Hindu Ekta Jagrut Samiti, Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, Manav Seva Pratishthan, and Bhumiputra Social Organization jointly met the Mumbai Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) and formally demanded that permission for the march be denied. These organizations strongly asserted that this march indirectly supports the brutal terrorist group Hamas and conveniently remains silent about their violent activities.

Immediate Ban Demanded on ‘Pro-Palestine Rally’!

17th June 2025

Don’t Let Azad Maidan 2012 Riot Repeat : Warn Hindu Organizations

Mumbai : In 2012, a rally at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan protesting alleged atrocities against Muslims in Myanmar had spiraled into a violent riot. It led to the desecration of the ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial’, torching of police and media vehicles, destruction of public property and abusive attacks on women police officers. On similar lines, a ‘Gaza-Palestine Solidarity Rally’ is scheduled at Azad Maidan on 18th June 2025. As this ralley is scheduled to create unrest in society, Hindu Rashtra Samnvay Samiti has strongly demanded a ban on this rally and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, Home Minister, Director General of Police and Mumbai’s Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), Shri Satyanarayan Chaudhary, who assured that “the matter is under watch and necessary action will be taken.”

Present while submitting the memorandum were: Shri Subhash Ahir (Convener, Hindu Rashtra Samnvay Samiti), Shri Vilas Nikam (Organizer, Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh), Adv. Surabhi Sawant and Adv. Prathamesh Gaikwad (Bombay High Court), Shri Udaybhan Tiwari (Bajrang Dal), Ms. Saniya Shewale (Legal Advisor), Shri Siddharth Patil (Manav Seva Pratishthan), Shri Santosh Palekar (BJP, Malabar Hill) and Shri Balwant Pathak (Coordinator, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mumbai), Shri Ravindra Dasari, Shri Madhusudan Ale and Shri Satish Sonar.

The rally’s announcement was made on Twitter by actress Swara Bhaskar and is being organized by various leftist groups. The event is one-sided, goes against India’s foreign policy and targets a friendly nation like Israel. The organizers remain silent on the terror attacks by Hamas but appear to provoke Indian Muslims against the nation, the Samiti alleged.

The event poses a threat of communal tension and law & order disturbance in Mumbai. The organizers have never raised their voices on issues like the persecution of Hindus in Kashmir and Bangladesh or terrorist attacks on India. The Samiti emphasized that this protest is not humanitarian but rather anti-India, anti-Hindu and indirectly supportive of terrorism.

Hence, the Hindu Rashtra Samnvay Samiti firmly demands that the rally be immediately banned and strict action be taken against its organizers. Such a step is essential to ensure Mumbai’s safety and communal harmony.
