#Ban_Hafta_Vasooli : HJS demands an immediate ban on Munawar Faruqui’s Hafta Vasooli airing on Jio Hotstar

Once again, alleged comedian and known anti-Hindu artist Munawar Faruqui has made headlines. This time, his show Hafta Vasooli has been released on Jio-Hotstar. The show, which features discussions on various topics with a comedic touch, is currently in its first season. In one of the episodes, Faruqui used abusive language during casual conversations. Additionally, he shamelessly twisted the meaning of a sentence in an obscene manner. The show has been given an ‘A’ rating.

It is worth noting that Munawar Faruqui has previously mocked Hindu deities, hurting the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus. There is a possibility that this show, too, might contain content that offends Hindu beliefs.

A complaint was lodged against the stand-up comedian for hurting religious sentiments on his JioHotstar show, Hafta Vasooli. Advocate Amita Sachdeva shared a copy of her complaint on X, alleging that the show promotes obscenity and hurts religious sentiments.

The advocate shared screenshots of an e-mail requesting an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 196, 299, and 353, along with the IT Act and other applicable laws. The complaint alleges that the OTT show insults multiple religions, violates cultural values, and negatively influences young minds and society.
