HJS's representation to the President to save 'Sree Ram setu'

Kolhapur: It has been mentioned in the epic ‘Ramayana’ that Prabhu Sree Rama had built the ‘setu’ with the help of Monkey brigade. The secular Congress Government is, however, all set to demolish the ‘setu’ and construct a canal. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) recently submitted a representation in this regard demanding that demolition of the ‘setu’ should be immediately stopped. The representation was given to the district collector. A warning has also been given in the said representation to stage demonstrations, take out marches etc. to save the ‘setu’. (Congratulations to all devout Hindus for uniting for the cause of protecting ‘Sree Rama setu’. If devout Hindus remain united, it will be easy to control anti-Hindu activities. – Editor).

In the presence of Shri. Rambhau Chavan, the district-chief of Shiv Sena and other members of the party, Prof. Vijay Desai, the district-chief of BJP along with other members of that party, members of Hindu Ekata Andolan, district-chief of Vidyarthi Sena, district-sevaks of Sanatan Sanstha from Kolhapur and Belgaum, Shivanand Swami and member of HJS, the representation was handed over to the district collector.

Shri. Suresh Chavan of Sanatan Sanstha said that the ‘setu’ was built by Prabhu Sree Rama with the help of his army of monkeys about 17 lacs and 25 thousand years ago. This has been supported by scientists working at NASA, USA. But the Congress Government has granted permission to demolish this ‘setu’ under its project called ‘Setu-samudram’. In fact, the Prime Minister, Dr. Man mohan Singh, Smt. Sonia Gandhi, the President of Congress Party and other Congress leaders were present for the inauguration of the project ‘Setu-samudram’. The purpose of the Congress Government to hurt feelings of Hindus is very clear from the facts that the demolition work was started from ‘Ram-Navami’, the drilling machine used for demolition has been named as ‘Hanuman’. If this setu is destroyed, other countries along with India will face natural calamities like tsunami. The project should be immediately stopped taking into consideration the future risks and feelings of Hindus.

In any other country in the world, such ancient ‘Setu’ would have been preserved and the Government would have taken pride to show it to the world as the first ever ‘Setu’ built in the world; but the egocentric Congress Govt. is trying to destroy the ‘Setu’
