Digital media or social media platforms have become a place where objectionable content is being served to society. If these are not regulated, then it will have a very bad impact on society. In this context, a complaint has been filed under section 354 of IPC and other provisions of the law against outraging the dignity of women in general and issuing instructions to the concerned authorities. Demand has been made to issue instructions to ban videography and photography at the sacred ghats from the origin of the river Ganga till its flow till Gangasagar and also to remove all objectionable videos, pictures, reels, and shorts from internet platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Today, obscene, cheap, and abusive videos/reels/shorts, etc. are being made by various bloggers in the greed of a little money.

Surreptitiously making video-reels of women taking a bath in the holy river Ganga, taking photographs and uploading them on various internet platforms without their consent is a non-bailable offense under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. These respectable women of society feel humiliated in front of their family, relatives, and friends, and their dignity is being torn to pieces by the obscene comments posted by the viewers. No decent woman in her right mind can tolerate such harassment and humiliation by millions of unknown persons. These videos are a black spot on any civilized society. Therefore, the bloggers who have uploaded these videos-photos should not only be fined but should also be prosecuted under IPC for their serious criminal acts and given different strict punishments as per the law of the country.
