Miraj : Democracy is said to be the rule of the majority, but the special rights given to the minorities under Article 30 of the Constitution have been denied to the majority Hindus. Even after 76 years of India’s independence, the list of problems faced by Hindus is so long that it begs the question, ‘did India get real freedom’. History says winner takes all, but it is not taught that Chandragupta Maurya was actually victorious. So, Hindus need to receive education on Dharma every day to understand our great culture, asserted Sadguru (Dr) Charudatta Pingale, the National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. He was addressing the Hindu Sanghatan Mela organised at Dutt Mangalkaryalay in Brahmanpuri. More than 150 devout Hindus attended this meeting.

Sadguru (Dr) Charudatta Pingale while guiding devout Hindus in the meeting

Sadguru (Dr) Charudatta Pingale said,

1. It is essential to ontain education on Dharma and abide by Dharma to protect our mind and soul. It is necessary to know the importance of Hindu festivals, fasts, festivals and 16 major rituals and to follow the scriptures accordingly. Rakshabandhan is a sacred festival and its meaning is ‘brother should protect sister’ as per example of Krishna-Draupadi in Mahabharata. Rakshabandhan is expected to be celebrated as a legacy of this spiritual tradition, but today many Hindu brothers and sisters do not know this.

2. It is unfortunate that in a democracy the Hindu majority still have to fight for the right to worship in the temple of Shri Krishna in Mathura, as well as the Mahadev temple of Kashi Vishweshwar.
