HJS and Hindu organizations demonstrates for ‘Ram Setu’

Hindus participated in the demonstrations

Nagpur: Demonstration was held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Hindu organizations to protest against the Central Government’s scheme to demolish ‘Ram-Setu’ under its project ‘Setu-Samudram’ and killings of 5 Hindus in Kashmir.

Shri Dilip Pagnis, the coordinator of HJS for Nagpur district said that according to our holy epic ‘Ramayana’, the ‘Setu’ was built by Prabhu Sree Rama with the help of his army of monkeys about 17 lacks and 25 thousand years ago. This has been supported by scientists working at NASA, USA. But the Congress Government has granted permission to demolish this ‘Setu’ under its project called ‘Setu-Samudram’.

Moreover, the Government has hurt feelings of Hindus by naming the machine used by it to break the ‘Setu’ as ‘Hanuman’. All Hindus should, therefore, unite to oppose this project. Shri. Pagnis said further that as per the opinions of researchers, it is not right to demolish the ‘Setu’ from the viewpoint of security. At the time of tsunami waves hitting the Indian coast, this ‘Setu’ has saved coastal area from Rameshwaram to Kerala. The defense experts also feel that demolishing of this ‘Setu’ would open the floodgates for LTTE terrorists. ‘Setu-Samudram’ project is an invitation to second tsunami, said Shri. S. Murthy. Dr. Shiva Subramaniam, the renowned research scientist based in USA has said that the project is a ploy against Hindus.

Killings of 5 Hindus in Rajouri district is the result of Government apathy towards Hindus in Kashmir. In these demonstrations, Shri. Aryakumar Dwiwedi of Shakti-Peeth, Dr. Sudhir Bodhankar of Hind Swarajya Abhiyan, Shri. Suresh Uplanchiwar of Sree Sampradaya, members of Gayatri Parivar, Tejaswini Vichar Manch and other devout Hindus participated.

In any other country in the world, such ancient ‘Setu’ would have been preserved and the Government would have taken pride to show it to the world as the first ever ‘Setu’ built in the world; but the egocentric Congress Govt. is trying to destroy the ‘Setu’
