Goa: Hindus demand withdrawal of Govt accreditation to Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind for Halal certification

Demand by Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan at Ponda

Ponda: Even as government agencies such as Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) exist, a parallel Islamic economy is being created through ‘Halal certification’. The original Islamic concept of ‘Halal’, which used to be limited to meat, has now been applied in every field including food grains, sweets, cosmetics, vegetarian food, medicines, etc.

Activists of Hindu organisations during the demonstration

The ‘halal economy’ has become a major national security threat. The Government of India has issued a notification approving the granting of ‘Halal Certificate’ to the organization ‘Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’. If this comes into effect, the ongoing undeclared halal imposition will become official. Against this backdrop, a Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan was organised on September 13 at Kranti Maidan, Ponda, demanding that the accreditation given to ‘Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’ for Halal certification must be withdrawn.

Appeal to participate in ‘Halal-free Ganeshotsav’ campaign

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is conducting ‘Halal-free Ganeshotsav’ under the ‘Halal-free Bharat’ campaign. Participating in this campaign is protection of Dharma. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has appealed to people to participate in this campaign as their duty to Dharma.

Halal is being forced on 80 percent Hindu society through ‘Halal economy’. The money received from ‘Halal certification’ is used to provide legal aid to terror accused. In this background, Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan called upon every Hindu to boycott ‘Halal certified’ items in Ganeshotsav, to raise public awareness about the horrors of ‘Halal certification’, and to participate in the ‘Halal-free Ganeshotsav’ campaign.
