HJS DEMANDS – BOOK NAFISA ALI FOR SELLING NAKED PAINTING OF BHARATMATA : INDIAN MUSLIMS DEMAND ACTION AGAINST HUSAIN.

Hindu Janjagruti Samiti ( HJS ) continued its stir against painter Husain for naked paintings of Hindu Gods and Goddesses by him organising protests today at 5.30 to 7.30 pm near Andheri railway Stn. (w.), Mumbai.
The Samiti has demanded action against Nafisa Ali of Action India for selling the naked Bharatmata painting. HJS is of the opinion that Ms. Nafisa Ali has aided and abetted the crime. Before that there was statement from Sharan Apparao of Apparao gallery that, they were withdrawing the contradictory picture from auction.
HJS has pointed out that All India Minority Forum has asked for arrest of Husain and Shahi Imam Bukhari of Jama Masjid has opined that Husain’s painting has hurt Hindu’s feelings and to keep Hindu–Muslim peacefull co-existence respecting each others sentiments should be respected. He critised Husain in an interview on INDIA TV last night. Today additional complaints were filed in Goa and Maharashtra against Husain. HJS has also alleged that Husain’s apology is fake as it doesn’t match the action as painting is being declared sold. HJS has pointed out that his previous apologies were also of similar nature. HJS has stated that in light of the cartoon controversy raging in Europe and Middle East Govt’s inaction in this issue is dangerous and till the govt. says something people of this country will presume that anybody can draw any picture without considering other’s religious feelings or national sentiments.
