Awakening on Dharmashikshan, Hindu Unity, and First Aid in Mumbai and Palghar Districts

HJS activities during Ganeshotsav

Mumbai : The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti reached out to more than 600 devotees across Ganeshotsav Mandals at 20 places in Mumbai and Palghar Districts through lectures and discourses from 31 st August to 8th September. The topics covered included the science underlying the worship of Shri Ganesh, celebrating an ideal Ganeshotsav, performing Sadhana (Spiritual practice) in daily life, and the need for Hindu unity.

At some places collective chanting was held while demonstrations on self-defence techniques were held in others. Lectures on First Aid held at 3 places in Navi Mumbai elicited a good response from the attendees.

A poster exhibition was displayed in some Ganesh Mandals. Many organisers expressed their desire to have such programmes during Navratri and other festivals in future. Some organisers asked the HJS to hold regular classes on Dharmashikshan and self-defence for their volunteers.
