Take action against officers of Maharastra Pollution Control Board for abusing the anti-pollution laws – Jitendra Wadekar, VHP

Devout Hindus staging Andolan in Satara

Satara : Maharastra Pollution Control Board has filed 230 cases of ‘pollution’ during Hindu festivals like Dahihandi, Ganeshotsav and Navratrotsav between 2015 and 2021; whereas only 22 cases have been filed against Muslims in the same period. This came to light through ‘Right to Information’ act. That means 92% cases are filed against Hindus and 8% against Muslims. While sharing this information, Jitendra Wadekar of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Satara has demanded that the offending officers should be subject to departmental enquiry and dismissed.

HJS organised a Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan in front of Golbag in Rajwada. Mr Wadekar was addressing the protestors there. Mr Vijay Gadhave, Mr Tatyasaheb Navlikar, Vikumar Tathavdekar, Mr Mohanrao Sathe (an adherent of Veer Savarkar), Mr Hemant Sonavne of HJS, Mrs Rupa Mahadik of Ranaragini Wing, and others participated in the protest.
