Report of HJS’ Respect National Flag drive in Uttar Pradesh

Memorandum submitted by HJS to local government administrations for prevention of abuse of the national flags

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) – On the occasion of national festivals on 15th August and 26th January every year, a large number of plastic flags are found strewn all over the roads and in garbage bins. It has also been observed that masks in the 3 colours of our national flag are also available online on sale and in shops. It is resulting in an insult to the national flag. Memorandums were submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to the District Collector and Dy. Police Commissioner Subhash Chandra Dubey at Varanasi, so also, to the District Collector at Gazipur. Advocate Avaneesh Rai, the City-President of ‘Hindu Jagaran Manch (HJM)’, advocate Anurag Pande, the ‘Mahamantri’ of HJM for Kashi, advocates Sanjeevan Yadav, Vijay Seth, Ravi Prakash, Virendrakumar Singh and Mr Rajan Kesari of HJS were present on the occasion.
