Hindu religious meet at Ranni from February 5

The annual Hindumatha Maha Sammelan, organised by the Ranni Haindava Seva Samiti and the Central Ayyappa Seva Sanghom, will be held on the Pampa riverbed at Ranni from February 5 to 12.
In a statement here on Thursday, P.N. Neelakantan Namboodiri and P.K. Gopakumar, of the event’s organising committee, said Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan would inaugurate the conference.
Travancore Devaswom Board president G. Raman Nair would preside over the inaugural function. Vedananda Saraswathi would deliver the keynote address.
Malliyoor Sankaran Namboodiri, Bhagavathom expert, would light the ceremonial lamp to mark the inauguration of the 61st anniversary celebrations of the Hindumatha Parishad on the occasion. The Devaswom Board member M.B. Sreekumar would be the chief guest. Hindu Aikyavedi general secretary Kummanam Rajashekharan would inaugurate an organisational meet on February 6. Kerala Vellala Maha Sabha president V. Surendranatha Pillai would preside over the meeting. Veethasprihananda of Sree Ramakrishna Ashram in Thiruvananthapuram would inaugurate a meet on the Bhagavad Gita on February 7.
According to V.K. Rajagopal, publicity convenor, an Ayyappa Dharma Sammelan on February 9 will be inaugurated by chief priest of Chakulathukavu Bhagavathy Temple Radhakrishnan Namboodiri. Nair Service Society general secretary P.K. Narayana Panicker will inaugurate an Acharya Anusmarana Sammelan on February 10 and Aswathithirunaal Gowri Lakshmi Bhai of Thiruvananthapuram Kowdiar Palace will inaugurate a women’s meet on February 11.
Chidbhavananada Saraswathi will inaugurate the Sunday School anniversary meet on February 12. Minister for Tourism and Devaswoms K.C. Venugopal will inaugurate the valedictory meet in the afternoon. General secretary of the Mata Amruthanandamayi Math Swami poornamruthananda Puri will lead a Sarvaiswarya puja, marking the culmination of the sammelan.
