#SaveAndhraTemples trend as Hindus demand immediate steps for safety of temples

Andhra Pradesh is in news from last few days and it is for all wrong reasons. The incidents of attacks on Hindu temples and deities murtis are increasing. More than 120 temples have been vandalised in last few months after YSRCP Govt took over. This has created outrage among Hindus not just in Andhra, but from all over the country.

Hindus took to Twitter to address the issue of increasing attacks on Andhra temples and started tweeting with hashtag #SaveAndhraTemples. They described how Andhra temples are being attacked continously and no proper action in being taken neither to stop such attacks, nor to find culprits behind these attacks. The hashtag became one of the top 10 national trends in India on Twitter. More than 25,000 tweets were tweeted using the said hashtag. The hashtag was on 4th spot for brief period of time and was in top 10 for few hours in the morning.
