HJS demand through representation

Nandurbar (Maharashtra) : The Town Council uses its trash-vans to carry Sri Ganesh idols for immersion. This year clean and good vehicles should be made available for carrying the idols and immersion should be done with devotion and respect. The above demand has been made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Ganesh devotees through a representation submitted to the Town Council.

It has been stated in the representation that ‘Hindus worship Sri Ganesh idol with lot of devotion during Ganesh festival from Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi. After this, the Town Council uses its trash-vans for immersion of the idols every year. The immersion is also carried out in careless manner. It is the denigration of the Deity to carry worshipped idols in such vehicle.’ Mr. Deva Kasar,Yogesh Chaudhary, Mayur Chaudhary, Pankaj Dabi, Ganesh Patil Akash Pawar of HJS and Dr. Narendra P. Patil, the Editor of ‘Saptahik Nandyuga’ were present when the representation was submitted.
