Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav in Madnur (Andhra Pradesh)

Madnur (Andhra Pradesh) : Villagers and Hindu dharmabhimanis took the initiative to convert the Sarvajanik (Common) Ganeshotsav in Madnur into Adarsh Ganeshotsav this year under the guidance of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. Madnur, a sleepy village on the Andhra Pradesh – Maharashtra border with the population of 9,000, decided to celebrate the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava as per the scriptures.

The 26 inches Sattvik Ganesh Idol made by Sanatan Sanstha in Pune was brought by special arrangements to Madnur.
HJS’s Andhra Pradesh spokesperson Mr. Chetan Janardan took the lead in this campaign to promote the Adarsh Ganeshotsav concept. This is the first time in AP that HJS has started the Adarsh Ganeshotsav celebrations. Next year, this will be also arranged in cities like Bhagyanagar, Nizamabad, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam.

The committee members of Shri Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Mandal, Madnur made all the necessary arrangements under the guidance of members of HJS.
