Complaint lodged with police

Miraj (Maharashtra) : On the occasion of Sree Ganesha Festival, stalls selling idols of Sree Ganesha have been erected at various places. At some stalls, Sree Ganesha idols, in Fengshui form, have been kept for sale. Mr. Sudhir Avasare of Shri Shiva-pratishthan, Mr. Anand Rajput, Pravin Dande of Shiv Sena, Mr. Dwarakadheesh Mundra of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police (SP), Balasingh Rajput. (Congratulations to pro-Hindu activists for making efforts to stop denigration in the form of Sree Ganesha idols! The attacks on Hindu Dharma will stop if such alertness is always shown by Hindus at all places. – Editor SP) Mr. Rajput assured to talk to the sculptors about the issue. The pro-Hindu activists warned that the Fengshui idols of Sree Ganesha have hurt religious sentiments of Hindus; therefore, such idols should be removed by the police; else they would have to take out those idols. Considering the sentiments of Hindus, SP Rajput said, “We have issued notices to the sculptors under section 149 wherein it has been advised that the idols should not be objectionable. If the new idols were objectionable, action will be taken.”
