Mumbai : Guiding principles from ancient Scriptures are found to be precisely applicable even today. Such curriculum is necessary for their in-depth study. It shows that Indian ancient science is forever superior. It is, therefore, equally essential to study the ancient Holy Scriptures, along with modern science, stated Dr. Vijay Jangam (Swami).

A program was held by BVIS to felicitate students who had successfully completed the course of ‘Phala-Jyotish’ and ‘Vaastu-shaastra’. Students were conferred various degrees such as ‘Jyotirvidyalankar’, ‘Jyotish -Visharad’ and ‘Vaastu-Visharad’. The program was held at Navaneet Hall at Dadar on 16th February 2020 and was attended by Dr. Uday Dhuri, Mumbai- spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Shri. Balwant Pathak, Mumbai- Coordinator of HJS as Chief Guests.

‘Jyotish-shaastra’ should be supported with ‘sadhana (spiritual practice)’ ! – Dr. Uday Dhuri, spokesperson, HJS

Research is conducted at ‘Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalaya’ under guidance of ‘Paratpar Guru’ Dr. Jayant Athavale for preservation and development of ‘Jyotish-shaastra’. Speciality of this research is that it is based on subjects related to spirituality. Astrologers from all places can help in this research work. Astrologers need to undertake spiritual practice. ‘Jyotish’ is considered to be the 6th component of ‘Vedas’; therefore, it is also known as ‘Vedang Jyotish’. ‘Jyotish-shaastra’ has to be associated with spiritual practice so that astrologers can explain the findings in better manner, stated Dr. Uday Dhuri, Mumbai-spokesperson of HJS on this occasion.
