Raichur (Karnataka) : Protest rally condemning prevention of Communal and Intentional Attack Act 2011 (Communal Violence Bill) and the Hindu Religion Bill 2011 of the State government was undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti of Raichur District on 26th June 2011 at 11.00 am the protest rally was arranged in front of District Commissioner office of Raichur. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti office bearer Mr. Mohan Gowda while submitted the memorandum to the district commissioner details highlighting its misuse on Hindu community in upcoming communal violence bill. He highlighted the fact that if the Bills were intended to appease minorities and were framed under the nose of Congress Suprimo Mrs. Sonia Gandhi by the national advisory council. If the bills were passed in the ensuing monsoon session by the Parliament, there is every possibility of government harassing the Hindus through the minorities in different possible ways.

While explaining the important points of the memorandum, he also brought to the notice of DC that it is strange that rights were not given to Hindus if the minorities were arranged in the acts against Hindus. Hindu has to obtain the permission from the government to register case against minorities. But there is ample of opportunity granted to register the case against any Hindu in the bill.  The gathered mob shouted that government should withdraw the bills, otherwise the Samiti would plan to undertake the protest rallies at all levels. At the same time another memorandum was also submitted to deputy commissioner against the bill concerned to government control over the Hindu temples. Another memorandum was also submitted against barbarous murder of two Hindu students by Karnataka Forum Dignity (KFD). The rally was attended by several Hindu organizations, civil society members, advocates, youths, women and others. More than 50 members were participated.
