Belagavi : A naam dindi (procession where the participants chant the name of God) was organised as a part of the Ramnaam for Ram Rajya campaign, in the Mohishet village (Belagavi). The procession started from the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal. Youth, Senior citizens, devout Hindus, Varkari Bhajan mandal and Kalash carrying women participated in the naam dindi. Women also performed the traditional fugdi accompanied by bhajans, cymbals and mrudangs, in the village centre. Over 70 devout Hindus participated in this procession. Sou. Ujjwala Gawde of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti addressed the gathering at the end of the procession.

Highlights

Mohishet village experienced incessant rains for over a fortnight. But on the day of the naam dindi, there was no rain till the end of the program.
