Representation submitted at Chinchwad for avoiding use of unscientific options for immersion of idols
Chinchwad : People are being misled since last few years by promoting immersion of Shri Ganesh idols in artificial water tanks or using ammonium bicarbonate but both the options are not as per science. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted representations in this connection to elected representatives and Municipal administration. Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar commended activities of HJS and informed that PCMC administration was trying to emphasis on people for use of idols made of clay. He said, “Last year, we had approached schools and given training on making Shri Ganesh idols from clay. Sculptors, who keep idols made of clay for sale, are given special discount in erecting their stalls.” Shri. Raghunath Dhobale, Shri. Ashok Kulkarni and Shri. Shailesh Yevale of HJS were present on the occasion.
Similar representations were submitted on this matter to Mayor Rahul Jadhav, MLA Gautam Chabukswar, Shri. Eknath Pawar, House-leader; Sou. Ashwini Bobade of Law and Justice Department, Opposition leader Shri. Nana Kate and MNS group-leader Shri. Sachin Chikhale.
