Savarwadi (Tal. Radhanagari, Dist. Kolhapur) : Members of Ganesh Festival committees attending a meeting on ideal way of celebrating Ganesh festival, made a resolve to immerse Ganesh-idols. VCD on the subject was shown in this meeting. Shri. Amol Kulkarni of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Dr. Mansingh Shinde explained the science creating awareness among the participants towards issues related to ideal manner of celebrating Ganesh festival. The meeting was attended by members of 3 Ganesh festival committees.

Highlights

Members of festival committees attended the meeting although Ganesh festival preparations were going on at homes of most of them.  Strips of Shri Ganesh’s chant were distributed by them among their member.

Lectures held at other places

1. Shri. Ajit Dhulaj of HJS gave lecture at ‘Kala-kreeda Sanskrutik Mandal’ in Shindewadi. Committee members said that they would be immersing idols as advised.

2. Lecture was held at a local devout Hindu’s place at Hanamantwadi. Participating devout Hindus said that they got useful information.
