Awareness for taking us from ‘Swarajya’ to ‘Surajya’ should be the goal of Ganesh Festivals ! – Satish Kocharekar, spokesperson, HJS
Lokmanya Tilak used the medium of public Ganesh festival for creating awareness amongst people towards freedom of this country and it was obtained; however, there is need to change this ‘Swarajya’ to ‘Surajya (good governance)’. It requires foundation of Dharma. If Ganesh Festival Committees keep such goal, it will help in protecting own families, society, Dharma and nation, changing it to ‘Surajya’.
On 11th August, HJS held work-shop at the hall of ‘Bainganpada Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal’ in front of BPS School in Bhandup (West). 16 representatives of festival committees viz. ‘Nava-Tarun Samajik Mitra Mandal’, ‘Sahyadrinagar Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal’, ‘Maratha Mitra Mandal’, ‘Bainganpada Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal’ etc. attended the meeting. Shri. Satish Kocharekar, spokesperson, HJS made an appeal to Ganesh festival committees to contribute towards building of divine kingdom. Shri. Balwant Pathak, Mumbai coordinator of HJS gave guidance on ideal manner of celebrating public festivals.
Bainganpada Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal extended valuable assistance in organizing this work-shop.
Let us jointly make an attempt to serve our Dharma through this medium for celebrating festivals in scientific manner ! – Advocate Santosh Mahamuni
Distortion of Dharma is a sin. When we do something after understanding science, we do it rightly and it will also reach to people. Every ritual has science which is explained under Hindu Dharma. Let us try to study the same and spread it amongst maximum number of people. Ganesh festival committees have advantage of unity which is a big strength. Let us therefore, use this medium to serve Dharma extensively and for celebrating festivals in scientific manner, stated advocate Santosh Mahamuni.
