HJS drive for maintaining honour of national flags at Jalgaon and Nandurbar

Don’t use plastic national flags; maintain honour of national flags ! – Dr. Avinash Dhakane, District Collector, Jalgaon

Jalgaon : On 15th August, plastic national flags should not be sold nor should such flags be bought. It is the duty of every citizen to maintain honour of national flags. Insult of national flags is a cognizable offence under Code of National Flags. National flags if found lying on roads, may be collected and immersed with due respect, was the appeal made by Dr. Avinash Dhakane, District Collector of Jalgaon to local residents. He made this appeal through a ‘byte’ when activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had gone to him for submitting representation on the subject under its drive for maintaining honour of national flags.

He was explained the drive undertaken by HJS for preventing abuse of national flags. He appreciated the drive. He also promised to issue orders to Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, all Town Councils in the district for taking action against persons using national flags made of plastic. He was also shown a VCD prepared by HJS on the subject. Shri. Prashant Juvekar, Shri. Shreyas Pisolkar, Shri. Brahma Ankalekar, Shri. Harshad Khanavilkar, Shri. Gajanan Tambat of HJS were present on the occasion, besides advocate Yogesh Patil.

Jalgaon Police Superintendent also given representation by HJS

HJS submitted representation on maintaining honour of national flags to Superintendent of Police (SP) Punjabrao Ugale demanding action against persons buying and selling plastic national flags. SP lauded the drive and said that every Indian should see to it that national flag was not insulted in any manner.

Representations submitted at Chopda and Nandra !

Representation was submitted to Police Inspector Shri. Lokare at Chopda in Jalgaon district and to the Principal of Zilha Parishad’s Marathi school at Nandra about maintaining honour of national flags.

Nandurbar : HJS submitted representations to Nandurbar’s dy. District Collector Dhananjay Nikam and PI Vijaysingh Rajput at Navapur, besides Tehasildar Sunita Jarhal, demanding prevention of abuse of national flags, taking place on the occasion of Independence Day. Similar representation was submitted to Principals of few schools at Nandurbar and Navapur such as Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Abhinav Vidyalaya, Mahila Vidyalaya, Eklavya Vidyalaya, D. R. Vidyalaya, Dr. Kane Vidyalaya, ‘Adhyapak (D.Ed) Vidyalaya, Yashwant Vidyalaya, Shroff Vidyalaya, Pharmacy College at Nandurbar; so also Chiefs of Shivaji Maharaj High School, Public High School- Marathi and Gujarati, Vanita Vidyalaya at Navapur.

Vishal Rajput, Shri. Sandip Rajput, Shri. Jitendra Ahire, Shri. Rahul Marathe, Shri. Jagadish Jaiswal, Shri. Bhushan Patil, Shri. Jignesh Patil, Shri. Tushar Marathe, Shri. Ajinkya Patil etc submitted the representation at Navapur.
