HJS warns Congress for setting aside Indian languages & giving priority to English

Issue of Congress being ready to give grants to English Medium Schools : If  Bharatiya languages are set aside then Congress would have to bear serious consequences, warns HJS

Panaji (Goa): Media has published news regarding the decision taken in the meeting of the Congress leaders held at Delhi, about grants to be offered by the Government to the English Medium Schools in Goa. It is the responsibility of the Government to augment the Bharatiya languages and culture; but if the Government tries to implement foreign language setting aside the Bharatiya languages instead, then it would have to face dire consequences, warned the HJS.

Bharatiya Bhasha Sanskruti Manch is fighting to promote the Bharatiya langauages and culture and HJS fully supports it. It is a doctrine accepted all over the world that the primary education should be given in mother tongue. Educationists too have the same opinion, yet setting aside this suggestion thrusting a decision causing injustice to the majority just to satisfy a particular society will never be tolerated by the people of Goa. Congress is attempting to push the Goans again in the slavery of foreign language when Goa is celebrating its Golden Jubilee. This harmful decision would destroy the National pride. Is it proper to take decision at Delhi regarding the future of the Goans?
