Pune : Representation was submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) demanding action as per Court’s orders for prevention of insult of national flags, taking place on the occasion of Independence Day. Representation was submitted to District Collector of Pune Shri. Navalkishore Ram on 29th July when he promised to take necessary action for preservation of honour of national flags. Devout Hindus viz. Shri. Ashok Kedage, Shri. Hanumant Ambewadikar, activist of ‘Ranaragini’ Division of HJS viz. Kum. Kranti Petkar and Shri. Parag Gokhale and Shri. Krushnaji Patil of HJS were present on the occasion.

Similar representation was also submitted by HJS to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)’s members viz. Shri. Mahesh Walimbe, Ashwini Kadam, Shri. Prasanna dada Jagatap, Shri. Anand Rithe, Shri. Shankar Pawar, Jyoti Desai, Ashwini Pokale and Ashwini Bobade, a member of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). Few members asked for video showing full ‘Vande Mataram’ song. Assistant Police Commissioner Ravindra Rasal of Pune city said that he would give necessary instructions in this context. Similar representation has also been submitted to 8 schools in Pune so far.

Positive response from elected representatives and police on receiving representation

1. Mayor Rahul Jadhav, PCMC and Commissioner Shravan Hardikar of PCMC- Will send letters to all municipal schools on how to maintain honour of national flags

2. Nayab Tehasildar Sachin Mundhe, Junner – Action will be taken against sale of plastic national flags

3. Shri. Vilasrao Madigeri, Chairman of Standing Committee, PCMC – Letter will be immediately sent to Commissioner and District Collector based on the representation and solution will be found.

4. Senior Police Inspector Raghunath Jadhav, Hadapsar police station – Your activities are very good. Every citizen should have respect towards national flag and prevent its abuse. It is quite unfortunate that awareness has to be created towards this matter. The Government should take stern action against manufacturers of such flags.

5. Assitant senior Police Inspector (Crime) Satyawan Patil – Your drive is very good. It should be publicized through media and awareness should be created amongst people towards this drive. We shall help as much as we can at our level.

6. Joint Commissioner (Crime Branch), Pimpri Sudhir Hiremath- We shall extend all help on behalf of Police Department and sent this representation to all police stations

Representation submitted to State administrative officers, police and school management in Kolhapur and Sangli districts

Kolhapur : HJS has submitted representations to administrative officers in Sangli-Kolhapur districts, police and managements of schools and colleges. Representation has been given to Panchayat Samiti’s Extension officer Shri. P. K. Chaugule at Shahuwadi by Shri. Ramesh Padaval, Shri. Dilip Kumbhar, Shri. Ashish Kolawankar, Shri. Mansingh Desai, Shri. Vikrant Morabale and Shri. Prasad Kulkarni. The officer promised to convey issues stated in the representation to all schools.

Sangli

1. Representation was submitted to Shri. Sanjay Ingale, Nayab Tehasildar at Miraj by Shri. Punditrao (Tatya) Karade of Shiv Sena’s ‘Vyapari Sena’, Shri. Vitthal Mugalkhod, a subscriber of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ and Shri. Akash Jadhav of Bajarang Dal. Shri. Vitthal Khot, former municipal councilor was also handed over this representation.

2. Representation was submitted to Principal Sou. Sujata Kulkarni at Balshikshan Mandir at Miraj. She has invited HJS for holding lecture on increasing of qualities among children. On submitting representation to Sou. Swati Raghunath Babar, Principal of R. M. High School, she invited HJS for holding lecture on increasing moral values. Similar representations were also submitted in MES English School, Jubilee Kanya Shala, Vidya Mandir Prashala and Adarsh Shala.

3. Representation was submitted to 7 schools and to Nayab Tehasildar Shri. V. D. Mahajan at Battis Shirali; Police Officer M. G. Nagaraji, Education Officer Shri. Pradip Kudalkar and Tarun Mitra Mandal Taluka Vachanalaya’s President Shri. Hasabnis

4. Representation was submitted to Shri. Kiran Bhise, Nayab Tehasildar at Kavathemahankal by devout Hindu activists Shri. Vaibhav Bhosale and Shri. Akshay Vadar.
