HJS extends aid to 15000 flood-stricken people in Assam

Bongaigaon (Assam) : Assam is hit with floods due to continuous rains in last few days which has affected 30 out of 33 districts of Assam. Shri. Jaideep Patwa of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) visited flood-stricken areas of Dhubari along with disaster management squad and distributed food and water to 15000 flood-hit people. Shri. Jetha Hasada, President of ‘Hindu Santhal Sanskruti Suraksha Parishad’ and its member Shri. Babusaheb Tudu; so also Shri. Ashutosh Mahato and Shri. Karan Sahu, participants of ‘Dharmashikshan’ class conducted by HJS joined in this activity. ‘Marwadi Mahila Samiti’ and devout Hindus helped in this mission.

Effect of flood on people

1. People have moved to places with high roads so as to save their life and their animals.

2. Communication system has collapsed since past several days; therefore, food and other stuff cannot be brought to them. There is no electricity and drinking water in the area. People had not had food and water for 3 days when aid was sent to them.
