Panaji : ‘HookUp Travels’ is a website for dating. It teaches ways of dating married and unmarried youth. India is a religious country with rich culture. A woman is seen in the form of a goddess, mother and sister. This website is however, making false propaganda in India about customs under western culture like dating. This website has posted a statement that Goa was the right place in India for satiating sexual needs. Such statement has been made through social website. Ban should be promptly imposed on ‘HookUp Travels’ website is the demand made by ‘Ranaragini Division’, Goa with Goa CM Pramod Sawant through a representation submitted to him on 24th June by Sou. Rajashree Gadekar and Sou. Shubha Sawant of Ranaragini Division.

Police Inspector Rajesh Jobs of Crime Investigations Department said, “We are trying to impose ban on website of ‘HookUp Travels’ and it will take some time for taking action.” Representation demanding action against ‘HookUp Travels’ should be given in every State.

It has been further stated in the representation that selfish businessmen are eyeing Goa, known as ‘Deva-bhoomi’ with evil ideas; therefore, Goa earlier known as ‘Deva-bhoomi’ is now known as ‘Bhog-bhoomi’ for perverted things happening here like consumption of liquor, massage, rev parties, sale of drugs etc. Such websites are in a way, enticing youth to behave in immoral manner. Wrong ‘sanskars’ are inculcated in youth and they take to crimes; leading to destruction of their families, creating communal disharmony. Who will be responsible if any untoward incident takes place involving molestation of a woman ? Sentiments of Goans have been hurt due to this website; therefore, written apology should be rendered by the website.
