Lord Shiva fixing elephant head on Ganapati is an example of ‘Modern Art’!

Mumbai: An exhibition of paintings drawn by 4 lady artists from Delhi was held at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai during 23rd to 29th October. One of the artists Miss Meenakumari Silpak supported obscene paintings drawn by M.F. Hussain. She said that deities also used to draw pictures in Modern Art style. Lord Shiva had no reason to fix head of an elephant on Lord Ganapati; but he did it. This is also a type of ‘modern Art’. She stated that the stories about deities could be imaginary, it is not spirituality. Mahavir, Buddha and in present times, Mahatma Gandhi were living examples of spirituality. Ram and Krushna were two characters in those stories. Religion and spirituality are two different things.

(It is really a pity that people having no knowledge of spiritual science dare to pass such comments. – Editor)
