Prayagraj : Processions were taken out for the first holy-dip at 4.00 a.m. to the ‘Sangam’ by ‘Aakhadaas’ with lot of pomp. Sanatan seekers were holding boards to welcome them at that time. Many Sadhus going for holy-dip also reciprocated by acclaiming Sanatan amidst slogans of ‘Sanatan ki Jai’, ‘Sanatan Dharma ki Jai’ etc. Police on duty extended cooperation.

Sanatan seekers raised slogans of ‘Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram’, ‘Har Har Mahadev’, ‘Jai Shriram’ etc and welcomed ‘aakhadaas’ procession on the way to ‘Sangam’. Direct telecast of this welcome was shown by various news channels. Many seekers received calls since morning, informing about seeing Sanatan’s boards on TV channels. ‘Seva’ of welcoming processions was done by few seekers despite severe cold; among them were Shri. Chetan Rajhans, national spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha and spokespersons of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti from other States.
