HJS demands – Cancel NCERT’s history book insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Magh Krushna Chaturthi, Kaliyug Varsha 5112

Nanded (Maharashtra) : National Centre for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is always making changes in the curriculum of different subjects. Sometimes, while carrying out such changes, Bhagat Singh is insulted by referring to him as a ‘terrorist’ or sometimes, the history is written in perverted manner. In the history text book of NCERT for 7th standard, most of the pages, out of the total 154 pages, are used for Mughal, cruel invaders who attacked Hindustan; but history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been given in a very negligible space. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), therefore, undertook a signature drive near Chhatrapati Shivaji Memorial in Nanded demanding withdrawal of this history book and replace it with a new book on the subject.
