Shrirampur : Realising their accountability towards society, nation and Dharma, public festival committees should stop malpractices during festivals. Celebrating public festivals in ideal manner can give proper direction to the society and the purpose of organising such festivals commenced by Lokamaya Tilak will be served. That also will create awareness among Hindus and will help to bring about Hindu unity, said Sadguru Nandkumar Jadhav while addressing those attending the shibir organised for coordinating Ganeshotsav public festival committees. Sarvajanik Utsav Samanvay Shibir was held recently at Apurva auditorium in Shrirampur. The shibir was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp. Founder member of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad Adv. Suresh Kulkarni and Kum. Pratikasha Korgaokar of HJS were present there. Utsav Mandals participating in the shibir expressed their determination to celebrate public festivals in ideal manner.

Shri. Rameshwar Bhukan of HJS explained the purpose of the shibir. Shri. Sandeep Sawant explained the need to celebrate sarvajanik utsav. All decided to jointly solve their problems faced during festivals in the group discussion that was held at the concluding session. They were also determined to celebrate public festivals giving importance to religious requirements. They appeared to have gained some new spirit in this shibir as they commented saying that since last few years they were lacking the enthusiasm required for celebrating the festivals; but this year they will celebrate them as per Dharmashastra. The CD ‘Ganeshotsva vastav ani adarsh’ was shown to the gathering; all seemed to have moved by watching that CD and have made demands to show that CD in their respective mandals.
