Mumbai : This nation needs types of activities undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). Activities of HJS are commendable, was the statement made by Mumbai Municipal Mayor Shri. Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, regarding HJS. Shri. Satish Sonar, an activist of HJS met the Mayor at his residence at Shivaji Park on 9th August in connection with its drive ‘Maintain honour of National Flags’ undertaken in the background of Independence Day for preventing abuse of national flags which are found strewn all over ground on that Day. Representation was submitted to Shri. Mahadeshwar requesting Mumbai Municipal Corporation to make public announcement in connection with maintaining honour of national flags when the Mayor praised HJS activities as also promised to take necessary action.

Shri. Mahadeshwar said, “Uniform Civil Code’ should be passed in this country. It is not a matter related to any one political party but everyone should agree with it, going beyond own parties. Those, who had promised to build Ram Mandir and pass Uniform Civil Code, have forgotten the promises after coming to power. All citizens feel that Uniform Civil Code is necessary in the interest of this country.”
