Panvel (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been creating awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma which is a great task. A Hindu has, however, become inactive; is sleeping. When one goes to bed, his body becomes lethargic and does not work; therefore, he is unable to hear what is going on around him even if the enemy’s attacks on Dharma have gone up. It is, therefore, necessary to create awareness towards Dharma. Those who are sleeping should be shaken up. The above frank views were expressed by H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj, the President of ‘Shadvikar Nirmulan Dindi’. HJS had organized ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ to commemorate 351st anniversary of the incident in which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had slain Afzal khan to eliminate terrorism. The ‘sabha’ was held on the grounds of H. B. P. Damaji Ganapat Vidyalaya. H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj addressed this ‘sabha’. The other dignitaries present on the stage were Mr. Ashok Gilda, the trustee of Sri Balaji Mandir, Panvel, Mrs. Nandini Surve of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS who also addressed the ‘sabha’ and kindled a spark of Hinduism among the members of audience through their speeches.

The ‘sabha’ began with lighting of lamp. Mr. Sachin Salunkhe of dainik ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ expressed his views. Mr. Anand Mhetre of HJS presented a review of their activities. H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj made an appeal that every pro-Hindu organization should take part in HJS activities and extend all help for the ‘Dharmakarya’ performing their duty towards Dharma. Mr. Gilda said, “The Government is taking over the temples and there is lot of corruption in their management. Those who tolerate injustice are more guilty than those who are involved in injustice. If out of 100 crores of people, only half i.e. 50 crores of people donate just Rs.1/- per day, Rs. 50 crores can be collected and which can be used for ‘Dharmakarya.’ Hindus should donate liberally for the cause advocated by HJS.”

Mr. Prasad Vadake said, “Hindu Dharma teaches how terrorism is to be eliminated. Sriram slew Ravana, Srikrushna slew ‘Kansa’ and Nrusimha killed Hiranyakashyapu to eliminate terrorism. The incarnation of ‘Nrusimha’ in Kali-yuga’ is Chhatrapati Shivaraya. He too showed how to end terrorism by slaying Afzal Khan.”

Mrs. Nandini Surve of Sanatan Sanstha said, “Congressmen and leftists are always engaged in appeasing Muslims to get their sympathies, protecting their religious sentiments with the selfish motive of strengthening their political careers; whereas they accuse Hindus of being terrorists and follow the only program of elimination of Hindus. All mass media also support the Congress and Leftists.”

The ‘sabha’ ended with adopting various resolutions for the welfare of Hinduttva and singing of ‘Vande Mataram’. The ‘sabha’ was compeered by Mr. Balawant Pathak and it was attended by about 250 devout Hindus.
