Ban crackers with pictures of deities and national heroes – HJS

Amaravati: For the past 5 years, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been demanding that crackers with pictures of deities and national heroes should be banned as the pictures are ripped to shreds when such crackers are burst resulting in denigration of our deities/ heroes. Therefore, sale of such crackers should be banned.

HJS is also trying to create awareness among people in this regard. It has taken up the matter with the concerned minister, officials and manufacturers of crackers. A representation was submitted to the Police Commissioner of Amaravati for putting ban on such crackers. The demand has been supported by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajarang Dal, Sanatan Sanstha, Shiv Sena and Chhava Sanghatana.
