‘Hindus should tread on the path as shown by history !’ – Mr. Vadke, HJS

Sakroli (Tal. Bhiwandi, Maharashtra): Today, Hindus are forgetting their history; but it is necessary that they keep their history as an ideal before them. India was ruled by the Mughals for nearly 1200 years; even then, ‘Jijau’ thought of having a Hindu State. She was a brave lady. Now, however, the position is exactly opposite. Nowadays, mothers feel that their children should become a doctor or an engineer; but not like Shivaji’ which is very unfortunate. The above fiery thoughts were expressed by Mr. Prasad Vadake of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha was organized by HJS on the grounds of ‘Anganwadi’ at Sakroli in Bhiwandi Taluka. Mr. Vadake addressed the ‘sabha’. Mr. Rajendraprasad Bhogale of Sanatan Sanstha shared the dais with Mr. Vadake. Out of the population of 300 of Sakroli, the ‘sabha’ was attended by 175 devout Hindus. The ‘sabha’ began with blowing of conch, followed with lighting of lamp and recitation of ‘Veda-mantras’. Mr. Bhogale spoke about the basic principles of spiritual practice, definition of ‘Dharma’, importance of ‘Dharma’ in life as advocated by Sanatan Sanstha. He explained how the Government has become impatient to impose ban on the ‘Sanstha’. Mr. Abhijit Bhojane acquainted the members of audience with the activities of HJS. Mrs. Supriya Gaikwad did compeering of the ‘sabha’ that was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Miss Nalini Raut.
