Report of ‘Respect National Flag’ campaign by HJS in Maharashtra

As per the High Court’s order, to manufacture and sell plastic national flags is a punishable offence. Yet plastic flags are seen lying around on roads and at various other places on 15th August and 26th January. Every year HJS gives representations to the administration and police to take action against the offenders in this regard and to maintain the honour of the national flag. Ahead is given a short report of this campaign.

Representations given in various Government offices in Shirol

Shirol (Dist. Kolhapur) : Representations were given in various Government offices in Shirol making a demand to stop the dishonour of the national flag. Many Hindu activists and patriots were present on this occasion.

Representations to Tahsildar and Police officer in Pune

Pune : Shri. Hemant Nikam, the Special Executive Magistrate and Tahsildar (Pune) accepted the representation on behalf of the District Collector. On behalf of Police Commissioner (Special Branch), Asst. Police Commissioner (Special Branch) Shri. Ravindra Rasal accepted the representation. Shri. Rasal said, painting tricolour of the face are our children only. We will take action; but every citizen should decide about it. (If police take action publicly, then citizens will be aware and the dishonour of the flag will stop ! – Editor, Hindujagruti)

Along with giving representation, creating awareness through lectures and distributing hand bills !

Representations were given at 22 places like administration Government, schools and colleges in Raigad District. Awareness was created here through 188 posters and 1200 pamphlets.

HJS mission acclaimed by the Mayor of Panvel !

Dr. Kavita Choutmol praised the mission of HJS after receiving the representation and assured to create awareness through social media to stop dishonour of the flag.

Nayab Tahsildar Kamble and Senior Police Inspector Kshirsagar were given the representations at Pen (Dist. Raigad). Shri. Kamble praised the mission of the Samiti. He said that if public awareness is created like this then change is certain.

Miraj’s Nayab Tahsildar V.V. Pilare accepted the representation.

Representations were given to Grampanchayat and schools in Khanderajuri village.
