One of the main political parties of Nepal promises to make Nepal as ‘Sanatan Hindu Rashtra’ in its election manifesto

Is there any political party in India which makes such promise ?

Kathmandu – ‘Rashtriya Prajatantra Party’ is one of the major political parties of Nepal. It has published manifesto for the forthcoming Parliamentary and State Legislative Assembly elections wherein making Nepal as ‘Sanatan Hindu Rashtra’ has been stated to be the main goal; blended with conferring more rights on democratic rule, Constitutional monarchy and local administrations.

Shri. Kamal Thapa, Dy. Prime Minister of Nepal and the President of ‘Rashtriya Prajatantra Party’ released the election-manifesto claiming that the manifesto was a combination of ‘Mahendra Rashtravad’ and Shri. Koirala’s policy of peace and harmony that would preserve national integrity, security and unity.

The manifesto also includes other promises such as taking people’s poll on important issues, empowerment of women, protection of minority; opening bank branches in rural areas so that every Nepali citizen would have an account with a bank, etc.
