‘Sunburn’ festival proposed to be held at Moshi (Dist. Pune) is cancelled

Hindus should offer gratitude to God for this success and try to banish ‘Sunburn’ permanently from India !

Outcome of intense agitations by local residents and ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations

Pune : The proposed ‘Sunburn’ festival to be held at Moshi village in Chinchwad, which is the entrance of places of pilgrimage like Dehu- Alandi, was strongly opposed by local residents and ‘Hindutvavadis’; as a result, this program has been cancelled and it has also been confirmed by Maharashtra State Tourism Ministry. The program was to be held from 28th to 31st December 2017. New venue of the program has not yet been decided. Detailed news on the issue has been published in ‘Pune Mirror’. (Congratulations to local residents and ‘Hindutvavadis’ for opposing such perverted program which is an attack on Indian culture and where drugs are openly available in abundance ! Hindus from all places need to note this ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Maharashtra State Tourism Minister (State) Madan Yerawar informed about cancellation of this program in Moshi and said that,

1. We shall continue to get suggestions from people who are against ‘Sunburn’. The decision was taken in a meeting of State Tourism Minister and officers from this Department, held recently.

2. Last year, the Government had extended support to this program without any financial involvement. It was held at Kesanand village in Wagholi, after it was driven out from Vegator in Goa. (Reasons for opposition in Goa State should have been found out before allowing it to be held at Kesanand village where there is ban on consumption of liquor; but it was claimed that program was allowed to boost tourism. It was wrong on the part of State administration. Liquor is consumed in large quantity during the program. Why the State Administration didn’t realize organizers’ mentality of disregarding all rules and regulations ? Does the State Administration want our youth to become addicts under influence of drugs and liquor and does it want to increase tourism at the cost of their life ? Only Hindu Rashtra will give you rulers working for people’s interest ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

3. We shall consider all suggestions given and objections raised by local residents, political parties, organizations and other citizens and bring necessary changes in the program. Moshi village is close to Alandi and Dehu; therefore, venue of the program will be changed. We want to preserve culture of Maharashtra and don’t want to go against people’s sentiments. (It seems that had people not opposed, Ministers wouldn’t have thought of Maharashtra’s culture ! If they do not realize what is good and bad for people, how will they work for welfare of people ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Resolution was passed in ‘Gram-sabhas’ held on 2nd October in Chimbali, Moi, Kelgaon villages near Moshi to oppose ‘Sunburn’. Sunburn Global’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Karan Singh said that he was not aware of change in the venue of the program.

Last year, Hindu Janajagruti Samti had taken initiative and with the help of local residents, ‘Hindutvavadis’ and RTI activists, had opposed to ‘Sunburn’ festival. As a result, the Government had charged fine of Rs. 1.5 crore to the organizers for illegal excavation and cutting of trees. Now change in the venue is also a step towards success.

Reporter of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ contacted State Tourism Minister Madan Yerawar on his cell phone when he said that Tourism Minister Jaiprakash Rawal would explain the stand  regarding holding of ‘Sunburn’ festival and its venue.

Agitation will go on till ‘Sunburn’ festival is banished from India ! – Parag Gokhale, HJS Coordinator, Pune

All local residents, pro-Hindu organizations, ‘Warkari Sampradya’ staged agitations against ‘Sunburn’ with unity.
