HJS oppose using students for promoting prevention of pollution during Ganeshotsav

Students are used for promoting prevention of pollution during Ganeshotsav; so use them even for preventing pollution caused due to loudspeakers on mosque and on Bakri Eid : HJS

Pune : Owing to release of sewage water, rivers have become gutters in Pune but environmentalists, activists of MANS and progressive organizations are indifferent towards this issue all throughout the year. They, however, become very active and worried for pollution during Hindus’ Ganesh festival. Serious thing in this matter is these organizations use school-college students for promoting their drive; forcing devotees for immersion of idols in artificial water tanks; instead of bringing activists from own organizations. It is misuse of students and against the principles of secularism and freedom to follow any religion. If at such public places, any mishap like stampede etc takes place, are these progressive organizations going to take responsibility of safety of such students ? This issue was brought to notice of Joint Director, Higher Education Department, Pune by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

MANS and fake progressive and eco-friendly activists are trying to bring pressure on Education Department’s decision and severely criticizing them which is condemned by HJS and it has made an appeal to the Government that it shouldn’t fall prey to anti-Hindus’ pressurization tactics. In the press release issued by HJS, it has been stated further that MANS presented the concept of making idols from paper pulp in 2011, without any knowledge on the subject and without scientifically studying the matter. The then Congress Government keeping blind faith in MANS, issued unscientific decision on 3rd May 2011, promoting paper pulp idols. Later, it was proved in the Government-approved Chemical Technology Institute, Matunga that paper pulp idols cause severe pollution. As a result, National Green Tribunal brought stay over the above decision through a verdict passed on 30th October 2016; making the Government and Pollution Control Board fall on their face.

Noise pollution is caused by deafening noise made through loudspeakers illegally fitted on mosques; during Christmas due to immersion of ‘tabut’ and thermocol; besides water pollution caused at the time of Bakri Eid owing to slaughters of millions of animals. MANS, the fake progressive organizations and so-called environmentalists should show guts and promote their drives making use of students against pollution even during festivals of non-Hindus; but owing to lack of honesty and principles, they keep mum about such pollution. They should not take advantage of Hindus’ tolerance. It is therefore, our demand that the Government shouldn’t fall prey to quackery of MANS and such caucus or misguidance by so-called environmentalists under guise of science; and should firmly support Government policies and officers who take decision which are complementary to the Constitution of this country and religious sentiments of devotees.
