Main officer of NIA left the assignment and Goa police are fed up

Margao (Goa): A senior officer of NIA, Superintendent Vijayan investigating the bomb blast case has left and resumed duty in the police department of Kerala as earlier. He has left the case because of the interference of the Central Home Ministry and pressurization tactics that are not letting an impartial inquiry into the case. The police officers of Goa are also fed up of the persecution by NIA. It has been published by a daily newspaper ‘Dainik Goa Doot’ that few police inspectors have got themselves relieved from the investigating team.

NIA has been investigating the case of bomb blast at Margao that had occurred on the eve of Diwali last year and the State police of Goa are assisting them. Presently, only one police inspector has been assisting NIA. He has also requested to be relieved from this responsibility. The officials of NIA treat the Goa police like peons, show no trust in them and the Goa police have to spend money from their pockets when they go with NIA officers for inquiry. These are the complaints of Goa police. It has been mentioned in the news item that Goa police are not ready to work with NIA.
