‘Respect National Flag’ drive : Representation submitted in Pune and Jalgaon

Representation submitted to District Collector of Jalgaon : Action committee meeting of HJS to be held on 28th July

Jalgaon : Representation was submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to District Collector Kishoreraje Nimbalkar for maintaining honour of national flags in the background of Independence Day. A VCD prepared by HJS for creating awareness amongst people towards this issue was also shown. Shri. Sachin Vaidya, Shri. Mayur Bhadane, Shri. Bhavendra Bhavsar and Shri. Pranav Nagane were present on the occasion.

‘Action Committee’ has been set up at Jalgaon as per the directions given by State Government in which volunteers of HJS are also included. Shri. Prashant Juvekar told the District Collector that meeting of such action committee was held just few days prior to Independence Day and Republic Day, therefore, its outcome was not as per expectations. The District Collector took immediate note of the same and has planned a meeting on 28th July at 10.00 a.m. in this regard. Representation submitted to Nayab Tehasildar at Pune demanding prevention of abuse of national flags

Why such need should arise to submit representation ? Why can’t the Govt. take initiative and put curb over such things ? – Editor, Hindujagruti

Pune : Abuse of national flags takes place on Independence Day and Republic Day, due to use of plastic flags. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been undertaking a drive for the past 14 years for prevention of abuse of national flags. As the outcome of such drive, Mumbai High Court issued order banning use of plastic national flags and even a law to that effect was passed. A representation was submitted by volunteers of HJS to acting Tehasildar and Executive Magistrate Hemant Nikam demanding strict implementation of the said law and stringent action against persons violating the law. Shri. Krushnaji Patil and Shri. Mahesh Pathak of HJS were present on the occasion.

Highlights

HJS volunteers had gone to Tehasildar Nanda Pardeshi for submitting representation when she herself took them to Shri. Hemant Nikam and told him about several activities undertaken by HJS in the interest of people; commending HJS.

Representation submitted condemning attack on Amarnath pilgrimage

On 13th July, demonstrations were staged on Bajirao Road under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’ to condemn the terrorist attack on Amarnath pilgrimage which took place on 10th July. A representation was also submitted to Shri. Hemant Nikam, in that connection.
