We shall take to streets if ‘Facebook’ account of Zakir Naik is not blocked : HJS

Block Zakir Naik, IRF Facebook pages : HJS says in police complaint

It is shameful for the Govt. and investigating agencies that such demand has to be made ! When is the Govt. going to take action, on its own, against those spreading hatred ? It is so infuriating that the Govt. which unnecessarily blocked the ‘Facebook’ account of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) since 2013 though HJS has been working for protection of nation and Dharma; doesn’t impose ban on Facebook account of jihadi Dr Zakir Naik ! – Editor, Hindujagruti

Panaji : Dr. Zakir Naik has been accused of spreading terrorism and is on the radar of Indian security agencies but his Facebook account so also Facebook account of his banned organization called ‘Islamic Research Foundation’ are still operated. These accounts should be immediately blocked, is the complaint lodged by advocate Nagesh Takbhate, the Secretary of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishada’, for Goa with the Home Ministry, Home Secretary and national security agencies, on 5th June. A copy of the complaint has been handed over to Cyber Department of Goa police for necessary action. Demand has been made through the complaint to immediately block Facebook accounts of Dr. Zakir Naik and Islamic Research Foundation. Action has also been demanded through the said complaint against Dr. Zakir Naik, his associates operating his Facebook account and his followers responding to his write ups.

Last year, terrorists involved in bomb blasts at Dhaka, had claimed that they were inspired by speeches of Dr. Zakir Husain. Thereafter, national security agency (NSA) has filed a case against him under ‘Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA)’ with Nagpada police station.

Dr. Zakir Naik has not attended police inquiry despite issue of 3 summonses against him. Dr. Zakir Naik is accused of spreading hatred through his provoking speeches through the medium of ‘Islamic Research Foundation’, providing funds to terrorists and for money-laundering.

On 17th November 2016, ban has been imposed on ‘Islamic Research Foundation’. Dr. Naik was served summons even for misappropriation of funds received by him through his organization. Dr. Zakir Naik is therefore, staying outside India since he is likely to get in trouble if here.

There are several proofs with Home Department about Dr. Zakir Naik inciting his followers for creating rift in 2 religions. He had also openly glorified notorious terrorist Osama Bin Laden.  He says that ‘every Muslim should become a terrorist. There wouldn’t have been 80% Hindus in Bharat if Muslims think about it seriously; while he was justifying self-destructive attacks by terrorists. He has published objectionable matter against Hindus and he openly claims that golden temple is not holier than Mecca and Medina.

We shall take to streets if ‘Facebook’ account of Zakir Naik is not blocked : HJS

HJS has been lodging complaints against Dr. Zakir Naik’s anti-national activities since 2011; but instead of conducting inquiry into Zakir Naik, the then Congress Minister K. Rehman Khan, who embraced Naik on stage in a program, gave orders to take action against HJS and Sudarshan news channel.

After Zakir Naik’s association in Bangla Desh bomb blasts was exposed and after change of rule at the Centre, i.e. after about 6 years, action has been taken against Naik. His activities have been banned under UAPA, his ‘Facebook’ account is still operated which is a serious matter. ‘Facebook’ account of HJS has been blocked since 2013 though no crime has been committed by HJS and it is still blocked; whereas Facebook accounts of banned Islamic Research Foundation and jihadi Zakir Naik are openly operated. It is clearly injustice to Hindus and concessions given to jihadis. If Zakir Naik’s ‘Facebook’ account is not blocked immediately, HJS has warned to take to streets and oppose, stated Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of HJS.
