Maha govt withdraws condition of obtaining NOC from minorities for building statue

Outcome of opposition by HJS and other pro-Hindu organizations !

  • Govt. should take action against the concerned officers for issuing such biased orders; along with modifications in the order !
  • Was the officer who finalized the order a non-Marathi or did he aim to insult people of this State ?

Mumbai : State Administration Department- 2 had issued guidelines for taking permission for construction of statues of great national leaders and eminent personalities wherein it was stated that NOC from minorities should be obtained for construction of such statues. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), Hindu Vidhidnya Parishada (HVP) and other pro-Hindu organizations opposed to this point; therefore, the Administration Department issued a new order on 6th May under which instead of obtaining NOC from minorities, the condition has been modified to obtain NOC from local residents for construction of statue. Even the new order might create problems is the possibility voiced by people. (If the Govt. is unable to issue even a single order in proper manner, how will it give good governance ? Hindu Rashtra is necessary for bringing change in this situation ! – Editor, Hindujagruti)    

New clause for erecting statues

Henceforth, NOC from Chief of the concerned police office is required to be attached with the proposal and it will have to be seen that law and order problem would not be created in future due to erection of such statue; nor would it create dispute amongst the locals or cause communal disharmony. NOS should also be obtained from local people for erection of statue.

Local ‘Koli’ community is against ‘Shiva-smarak’; then is the Govt. going to cancel construction of statue ? – Shri. Ramesh Shinde, national spokesperson, HJS

The Government has retained the condition of obtaining NOC from local residents. In that case, will construction of the proposed Shiva-smarak in Mumbai-sea and statue of Chhatarapti Shivaji Maharaj going to be cancelled since local ‘Koli’ community is against the same, asked Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of HJS in a press release.
