Nagpur (Maharashtra):  Modern and denigrated ‘raakhis’ with pictures of ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Gazani’, ‘Zuzu’, cell phone, talking parrot, Tom etc. are available in the market.

Previously, only ‘Deva-raakhis’ were worn. There was transformation in the types of ‘raakhis’ with the time and now, children like ‘raakhis’ made with the names of films or cartoon characters etc. (Lack of ‘Dharma-shikshan’ among Hindus has caused damage to Dharma !  – Editor SP) Such kind of ‘raakhis’ have great demand, informed the traders of ‘raakhis’.
